Foxie's favourite snack

We discovered by chance that Foxie loves banana!!

Whenever we are having banana, Foxie will become very obedient out of a sudden and sit attentively watching us. *hoping that we will share some with him*

We took the opportunity to use banana as a treat to make him perform some tricks!
Win-Win situation for all of us!!

Sunshine Boy

There were some movements behind our curtain..
Let's take a closer look..
We saw a tiny paw..

There he is...That's our sunshine boy, Foxie!

He loves hanging around the living room's curtain.. as that is where he could see the sun!

When he is playing with his smelly dolly,
he will make sure that he is lying just on the sun's rays..

It has soon become his daily rountine to sunbathe every morning..

That makes him a jolly sunshine boy!

Packet Puzzler

We recently bought some books on Dog Tricks & testing a Dog's IQ..
Being 1st time Dog owners, we ought to learn abit more from useful books & other pet owners.

We lucky pick on one game for Foxie..

All we need for this game is just a paper bag & some of Foxie's favourite Chicken Treats.
We were supposed to put the Chicken Treat in the paper bag and fold it twice to enclose the food. Then, put the packet down infront of Foxie & watch how he sets about getting his treat.

At first, Foxie was curious what was inside the goodies bag as it smells yummy...

He tried to chew off the bag to get his Treat..

After figuring out for sometime, he finally found the opening of the paperbag!!

He was extremely excited & crawled into the paper bag to retrieve his reward..

Conclusion of this Game.. Foxie is one smart Pup!

And he surely enjoy playing.. we will try more games soon!

Do Dogs Dream?

Does Foxie Dream?

While Foxie is sleeping, he sometimes whimpers, growls, twitches & wags his little tail & licks his lips..
Dogs are similar to humans with regards to their sleep patterns and their brain wave activity.
As they first fall asleep dogs are in a 'lighter' sleep mode where their breathing is very regular and they can be easily awakened.
Once they enter deep sleep they are more difficult to awaken and their brain wave activity is greatly increased.
Like us, once in deep sleep we enter a stage where their breathing becomes more irregular and we have rapid eye movements (REM) where actual dreaming takes place.
Dogs enter and exit this dreaming stage several times per night.
This rapid eye movement stage has this name because behind their closed eyelids, the dog's eyes are moving rapidly back and forth. Presumably, they are watching the images that they are dreaming about. It is during this stage where they may also have involuntarily vocalizations and body movements.
Even if it seems like they are having a bad dream it is best not to wake a sleeping dog. Dogs, like humans, need uninterrupted sleep for healthy mental activity.
So, Do NOT disturb Foxie when you see him sleeping soundly... Hush Hush.
Foxie is a Dreaming Pup..
Research suggests that small dogs dream more than larger dogs. Dream frequency also seems to be related to age where puppies dream more than adult dogs.
What do Dogs Dream about?
They may move their legs as if they are running, may whine or whimper as if excited, and may breath rapidly or hold their breath for short periods. It is likely that dogs dream in a similar fashion to humans, dreaming up canine fantasies and the everyday things that make up their existence like chasing, playing and eating.
YES!! Foxie is Dreaming again!!
