Week 24
This is another big week for our magical growing baby!
Checklist for this week:
1) ears: done
2) fingernails: done
3) lungs walls: secreting “surfactant”.
Surfactant is sort of what it sounds like: a surface-activated fat whose main purpose is to assist the my baby's little lungs during inflation.
My submerged baby is still breathing in amniotic fluid, preparing and rehearsing the lungs an oxygen-filled life outside the womb.
Also by now, her beautiful face is almost fully formed, complete with eyelashes, eyebrows & hair!
According to our obstetrician, our lil' Girl is weighing a good 750g today!

Picnic at Kinglake
We went up to Kinglake on Melbourne Cup Day. Kinglake National Park is 65km north-east of Melbourne.
It's our 1st trip there ever since the 2009 Bushfire.
Kinglake National Park is the largest national park close to Melbourne. It has 22,360 hectares of tall forests, fern gullies and rolling hills, an extensive network of walking tracks and other facilities, as well as vantage points offering scenic views.
Bushfire 2009 Impact
Approximately 98 per cent of the park, including the office and most visitor facilities, were burnt by the Black Saturday bushfires in February 2009. Rehabilitation work and assessment of fire damage is continuing in the park and areas will be re-opened progressively.
We found a nice spot for BBQ
Most of Kinglake National Park has a cover of eucalypt forest. Many of the trees show a green flush of new growth along their trunks following the fire.
Grass trees have sent up their tall flowering spikes and tree ferns are bright with new growth. Gradually other species will regerminate including wattles, bush peas, cassinias, heath, tussock grass and orchids.
Me at 24 weeks with our lil' girl
We also visited the Bottle museum
We will Visit Kinglake again to see more sprouting & Flowering of the grass trees along with beautiful nature & species. God bless Kinglake & it's community.

My 1st Pregnancy
It's a Lil' PRINCESS!!
Little baby on the way,
Getting bigger every day,
Kicking mommy here and there,
God please listen to our prayer.
Keep our baby safe and strong,
Let his time with us be long,
Help us teach him right from wrong,
And we shall praise thee all day long.
This little on, though not yet here,
Is loved so much, has grown quite dear.
Delivery time is growing near,
That's why we pray our plea you'll hear.
Please help up Lord, we pray to Thee
With thankful heart, on bended knee,
To raise this child that he might be,
A happy child because of me.
A baby girl...
one of the most beautiful miracles in life,
one of the greatest joys we can ever know,
and one of the reasons why
there is a little extra sunshine, laughter and happiness
in your world today.

Happie 2nd Anniversary
Kevin & Michelle
2nd Wedding Anniversary
9th September 2010
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves." -- 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
